Quick Update

  • I'm leaving for Maine in a few days! So I won't be able to post until I return on July 6th.
  • If you'd like me to send you a postcard from Maine, leave a comment with your email address and I'll email you for your address.
  • Also, I have two postcards from Rhode Island. I went there two summers ago for vacation, so if you'd like to do a swap, leave a comment with your email address. The pictures are below.

I'll try to post a mail update on Friday, but I don't know if I'll get around to it, since I'll be packing.

Have a lovely day!

Felt Pinwheels

These past few weeks, I've been making pinwheels, one after the other. So, I was wondering if anyone would like some. I'm currently doing patriotic pinwheels for the 4th of July, but I can also make other colors for you. So, leave a comment below with type you'd like (patriotic or another color) and your email address, and I'll email you for your address.

We Apologize....

Out of all the letters I’ve received, I have never ever received a letter in a postal bag. This letter came like this in a bag. The envelope is ripped in two, there’s a front piece and a back piece. My pen pal also sent me stickers on a sheet and two are missing. So since it came like this, I can’t help but assume they took two stickers. I don’t know how this happened and if they did take two stickers, which post office did it (I’m hoping it’s not mine, because then I’ll find another one after I complain), but either way, taking the stickers or not, I’ll most likely complain.

Has this ever happened to you?

I'll be back on Sunday to post the letters I've received this week.

Have a lovely evening!

Mail Update

Once again, I didn't receive a lot of mail and I didn't send or write a lot either due to laziness, but I will be sending and mailing more mail out this week. Here's what I received this week.

From Breanne in California. Her birthday was yesterday, so I'm going to mail her card and letter out tomorrow.

From Shannah. We're not pen pals, but I helped her create a button, so she sent me a little thank you note and a couple of stickers. Thanks Shannah!

From Victoria in Arizona.

From Deniz in Germany.

And last but not least, this is from Olga in Portugal. I have yet to reply to her first letter, which is from last fall/winter, so she sent me another letter to see how I was. I plan on writing her tomorrow.

How was your mail week?

Have a lovely evening!

Attention! Attention!

Have any buttons that you don't need anymore or plan on using at all? Well, if you said yes to that question, I need them! I will take them off your hands.

Now, you're probably wondering what the heck I'm going to do with all these buttons. I plan on using them to make felt pinwheels for my handmade note cards. So, once again, if you have any un-used buttons, I would love it if you could give them to me.

In exchange for your wonderful gift, I will send you something in return. I can make you a few note cards, I can make you a pinwheel, I bake you something, etc. Whatever it is, we'll talk and work something out.

So, if you're willing to let go of your buttons, email me at mscdyson@ymail.com.

Thanks! I appreciate it!

Have a lovely day!

Shop Update: Stamps

My dad used to be a big collector of stamps when he was younger. He has 2 huge albums and 2 shoeboxes filled with stamps. I was talking to him today and I asked if I could sell them or give them away. He said I could, so going up in my shop these next few weeks, are all his stamps as grab bags. If you'd like to trade with me, just let me know and I'll be happy to do it with you. I'll be posting pictures of all the stamps during the next few weeks, so keep an eye out for them.

Have a lovely evening!

New Stationary and Mail Update

This week I didn't receive a lot of mail, but I sent out quite a few letters, so I'm hoping they reply soon. I also bought some new stationary all for $10! I went to Marshall's yesterday and I bought 3 stationary sets. They didn't have a very good selection, mostly Thank You notes, so I bought whatever I could get my hands on. I had to literally dig to find some and I spent at least 10 minutes in that aisle, just searching. I'm going to head to Papyrus tomorrow, so I won't have to dig tomorrow.

Seashell Note Cards

Letter "A" Note Cards

Cat Note Cards

A letter from Shelby in Indiana.

And a letter from Kateri in Virigina.

That's all for today!

Have a lovely day!

The Priority Boxes Art Project

What's the priority box art project all about? Well, according to the site,"The Priority Boxes project is a public art series that seeks to provoke thought, to make people reconsider their ability to influence change, communicate through art and make art accessible to people from all walks of life. Each box is the canvas for a unique abstract painting and is dedicated with a “Fragile:" message. The project which started as an initiative to promote peace quickly evolved in to art movement with boxes containing a wide spectrum of emotions and abstract attributes such as Freedom, Love and Justice".

These boxes are created by Franck de Las Mercedes, who is currently "selling" them for FREE. All you need to do is send your request to fdlmboxes@fdlmstudio.com. In your email include: your name, address, city/state/zip, country, and how you heard about the project.

I'm going to sign up to receive one! Are you going to sign up?

Have a lovely evening!
